In this Final Cut Pro X tutorial, I show you how to create still images out of any frame of video and export to an image file. In addition, I also show you how to use images within your video and make timing adjustments to them on your timeline.
In this video, I show you a few of the new (and cool!) video effects in Final Cut Pro X and how easy they are to apply to the video in your timeline. Watch the video below to see more:
A few peopleĀ asked me how I created the basic video intro on some of my past Final Cut Pro X videos and since I created them with Final Cut Pro X, I thought I would make a quick video to show you how it was done. This is a VERY basic and simple intro that only took me about a minute to create, right from within FCPX. Watch the video below to see how it’s done!
Another great feature in the new Final Cut Pro X is the ability to not only move clips easily, but everything connected with that clip like titles, transitions, images, audio, etc. This feature is another huge time saving improvement over the previous version of Final Cut Pro.
After playing with Final Cut Pro X, I am happy to say that I am VERY impressed with rendering times. What used to take 30 seconds to render on the timeline in Final Cut Pro 7 now renders IMMEDIATELY in Final Cut Pro 10!
The fast rendering feature alone is worth the price of FCPX. Luckily, we get a lot more great features as well!
Apple Announces Final Cut Pro X – Coming This June!
Highlights from the Apple Announcement and new features for Final Cut Pro X:
Final Cut Pro X will finally be a 64 bit application which is a HUGE improvement. This means that it can use more RAM and will also run much smoother and faster than the current version.
Say goodbye to long rendering times! Current Final Cut Pro users know about long rendering times and I am happy to report that the changes that Apple has made to Final Cut Pro X will pretty much eliminate rendering time and you will be able to view changes you have made instantly.
New Interface: Final Cut Pro X will have a new, completely different look than the current version of Final Cut Pro. This new look is streamlined and focused around the three areas that video editors use most when making cuts: a New Media Browser, Preview Area, and better looking Editing Timeline.
